The Metabolic Reset Program
The Metabolic Reset Program really begins with you - and that is a particulaly important aspect of it. You make the committment to start living a healthier and more full life. And we are here for you on this journey.
Our role begins with scheduling an appointment with Dr. Burns. Just click on the Book Now button to be taken to the scheduling site and choose an online video appointment that works with your schedule. You do not need any special equipment or software to participate in an online video appointment - just a computer with a camera. Prior to this appointment, you will be required to fill out a brief form that details your health history and with a particular emphasis on those aspects that pertain to weight loss. Dr. Burns will review the form prior to this first appointment and then, during the appointment, elicit any additional information that he needs to develop a comprehensive plan. This first appointment will last approximately 30 minutes and the charge is $180. If Dr. Burns determines that you are not a candidate for the Metabolic Reset Program, he will explain why this is the case and then make some recommendations to you as regards your health status and $100 will be refunded to you at the conclusion of the appointment. If it is determined that you are a candidate, Dr. Burns will then discuss with you the options availble to you and explain the process going forward. Medications will be ordered immediately following the conclusion of the appointment and shipped directly to your address via express services - either UPS 2 day Ground Service or FedEx (depending upon your location). Shipping is always included in the price. Please note that labs are required for the Metabolic Reset Program and that these will be ordered as well. You will be able to get your medications prior to the labs but labs are expected to be completed within 6 weeks of initiation of therapy. ***You will pay for the labs yourself *** If you have selected an injectable option - either for the GLP-1 medication or for a Lipotropic, you will be scheduled for an RN appointment to teach with you how to do this safely and easily (and do not worry - it is very easy and only minimally uncomfortable - you can do it). Approximately 3 weeks after initiation of therapy, Dr. Burns will require a followup appointment to check in with you, see how it is going, and to answer any questions that you may have. This appointment may be with either Dr. Burns or our RN and you have the ability to select with whom you would like to meet. At this appointment, dosage or scheduling adjustments can be made. Going forward, it is recommended that additional appointments be scheduled approximately every 6 weeks. Additional medication will be ordered and sent to you at the appropriate intervals once it is paid for. There is also the possibility that additional labs may be recommended at future appointments. You will have access to the providers at VAMONTA for as long as you continue with the Program. Also, if there are any issues that crop up outside of any scheduled appointments, you can always make an appointment via the VAMONTA online scheduling platform.
A Few Additional Notes
You will need a digital scale for daily weight recordation. Excellent scales are available on Amazon and at a reasonable cost.
You can stop this Program at any time. There is no obligation to continue. But, if you are ever considering not going foward, it may be beneficial to schedule a short appointment with us so that we can explore the reasons for your considering doing so and see if we can make the situation better for you.
There are very many ways to administer these medications and there is no "right" schedule. There is considerable latitude to make dosing adjustments or switch to another medication mid-stream - you are not committed to any particular medication or administration route - so if something is not working for you - please reach out - we can help. As VAMONTA uses two different USA compounding pharmacies, we have access to a variety of concentrations, vial sizes and schedules.
A Few Caveats
Medications, once paid for and shipped cannot be refunded or returned
VAMONTA does not participate in any health insurance plans and VAMONTA requires upfront payment for both medical consultations and medications. You may submit your consultation fees, medications costs, or lab costs to your health insurance provider but VAMONTA makes no warranty that such submission will result in reimbursement.
